SURG 901s - Cardiothoracic Surgery(s)Course Description: The Cardiothoracic Surgery 4th year sub-internship provides students an opportunity to broaden their professional education by providing direct patient care with internship-like responsibilities. The rotation is designed to provide students with clinical exposure, observation, and training to further their understanding in this highly specialized field. Cardiac revascularization and valve surgery comprise a large portion of the experience. These experiences will include a combination of office-based care and hospital/operative exposure.
