FMED 902e - Community Medicine(e)Course Description: The Community Medicine elective provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the social determinants of health, preventive care, and population-based approaches to healthcare delivery. This rotation emphasizes the integration of clinical practice with community health initiatives, focusing on the health needs of diverse populations. Students will engage in various activities, including health screenings, community outreach, program development, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through exposure to public health policies and practices, students will learn to assess and address health disparities and implement strategies for health promotion and disease prevention within community settings.
