Course Description: The Medical Genetics elective provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of medical genetics. This rotation focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of genetic disorders, including inherited conditions, chromosomal abnormalities, and congenital anomalies. Students will engage in patient assessments, genetic counseling, and the interpretation of genetic testing results. Through direct patient interactions, case discussions, and hands-on experiences, students will develop the skills necessary to integrate genetic information into patient care and counseling.  Credits: 2-12
