HSS 603.1 - Health Care Delivery Systems


Course Description: Health Care Delivery Systems explores the impact of social values and societal systems on the health of individuals and populations. Students are oriented to the current state of the American health care system, its origins, transitions, and evolving organization, and will appreciate the impact of structure on function. This course will describe the legal, economic, and political challenges for improving the quality of efficient and effective care. Additionally, this course offers an introduction to the tools, resources, processes, and ethics for the conduct of research-in general and as a medical student at KansasCOM.   Credits: 2
